Dream3D, Inc. ("Dream3D", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you use DreamAlign software, services, or this website (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account Information: Name, email address, company name, billing address, and payment information provided during registration or subscription.
- Usage Data: Log data, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, features used, and session duration collected automatically when you interact with the Service.
- Dental Model Data: Three-dimensional scan files and associated metadata you upload for processing. This data may contain patient-related information; see Section 6 (HIPAA) for details.
- Communications: Messages and attachments you send to our support team.
- Device Information: Hardware identifiers, operating system version, and software configuration collected for licensing and support purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Process payments and manage your subscription.
- Authenticate your identity and enforce license terms.
- Process dental model files you upload and return results to you.
- Send transactional communications (receipts, account alerts, security notices).
- Send product updates and marketing communications where you have consented.
- Analyze usage patterns to improve features and performance.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service (cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery) under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal Compliance: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights and safety of Dream3D, its users, or the public.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to affected users.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and usage data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. Dental model files are retained for the duration of your subscription and deleted within 90 days of account closure unless you request earlier deletion. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 9).
6. HIPAA and Health Data
If you upload dental model data that constitutes Protected Health Information ("PHI") under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA"), Dream3D acts as a Business Associate. We will handle such data in accordance with our Business Associate Agreement ("BAA"), which is available upon request. You are responsible for ensuring that patients have been informed and that required consents are in place before uploading PHI to the Service.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and analyze usage. You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Service functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Portability: Request a machine-readable export of your data.
- Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the link in any email.
- Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
